The Terra Carta Design Lab aims to drive student-led commercially viable solutions to combat the crises.

The Terra Carta Design Lab 2023-24 was launched in 2021 by His Majesty King Charles III, as part of the Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI), and Sir Jony Ive in collaboration with the Royal College of Art. The Design Lab aims to empower and incubate innovative solutions to combat the climate and biodiversity crises. 

National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, was one of the 4 partners in this competition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communication Strategy

    Coordinating communication activities including exhibition content development, panel copy, moderated talks, press releases, social media communications

  • Thought Leadership

    Co-authored the paper, 'Building Resilient Urban Knowledge Communities and Enterprises through Design Education', with Tanishka Kachru and Paras Singh, and presented at IIM-A and IIT-D

  • Public Programmes

    Coordinating showcases at Godrej Conscious Collective in Mumbai (December 2024) and What Design Can Do Live in New Delhi (March 2025), highlighting impactful projects developed as part of the lab
